After the magnicent success of its maiden edition in an ofine mode in 2019 and Virtual edition in 2020, St. John's High School, Chandigarh will be hosting the 3rd edition of its prestigious St. John's All India/International Debate (SJAID) from 24th to 26th August, 2022. Many top schools from across the globe have conrmed their participation. The debate will be inaugurated by Dr. Vivek Lal, Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
(MOREPIC1)(SUBHEAD)The debate has been made possible courtesy a generous Endowment of Rs. 1 crore gifted to the school by its eminent alumnus Dr. Sandeep Goyal, former CEO of Zee TV and ex-Chairman, Dentsu India.
“St. John's School was set up in 1959. Ever since, the school has been the launch pad for an exceptional number of students who have excelled in government, the judiciary, media, academics, business, industry, banking, sports, medicine … occupying top positions in many domains and professions. The school has consistently been rated amongst the very best by various media surveys”, says Ms. Kavita Das, Principal of the school.

STAR STUDDED JURY
The jury for the debate will be chaired by some recognized dignitaries from various walks of life. Justice (Retd.) Ajay Tewari, Mr. Pawan Khaitan, an established businessman, Mr. Vivek Atray Ex-IAS, Mr. Khushwant Singh, renowned author, are all illustrious alumni of St. John's.

PRICE MONEY ANNOUNED
The winners of the SJAID will take home the prestigious Dr. Sandeep Goyal Trophy, specially designed as a Soaring Eagle, the mascot of the school, plus a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. The runners-up will get a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. There are many other cash awards to be won.
