DIVERSITY ACROSS CULTURES: THE INDIAN STORY

Panjab University is hosting students from Nottingham Trent University, who are visiting the campus and the city for short-term mobility under the Turing Scheme from August 7-14, 2022. Under the stewardship of Prof. Deepti Gupta, Dean International Students, a host of academic sessions, excursions and workshops are being organized, showcasing the rich culture and diversity of India and Punjab.

The day began with an academic session by Dr. Sanjiv Gupta, Former Chief General Manager, SML ISUZU on Introduction to Industry 4.0 and SML ISUZU Ltd followed by a visit to SML ISUZU Ltd, under the supervision of Prof. Monika Aggarwal, Director, UIAMS and Dr. Sanjiv Gupta. The exchange students enjoyed a tour of the plant, followed by a Q& A session and a brief overview of the development of the facility. They enjoyed lunch in the industrial setup.

Post lunch, a visit to Elante Mall to dwell on the changing contours of Indian Retail Industry was undertaken under the supervision of Prof. Renu Thakur, Professor, AIHC and Prof. Monika Aggarwal, Director, UIAMS.
