In a major breakthrough the team of Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Insp. Satvinder Singh with the close guidance of senior official is able to arrest one most wanted Gangster Vinit Gahlot @ Vicky Mitrau wanted in murder and Arms Act cases by Haryana and Uttar Pradesh Police who was absconding for the last 3 years.
Seven illegal weapons have been recovered from his possession. He was wanted by multiple state police and had reward announced for his arrest By Haryana and UP Police.(SUBHEAD)
In view of upcoming Independence, 2022 and present security scenario, on the directions of senior officers, a heightened alert was triggered by Crime Branch to nab the miscreants, the team of Crime Branch headed by Insp. Satvinder Singh collected the vital informations and got major success in arresting the notorious gangster accused Vinit who wanted previously in FIR No.124 dated 29.07.2022 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh as he sold the illegal weapons to one accused Rakesh who was recently arrested by Crime Branch.
On 03.08.2022, accused Vinit was apprehended from Zirakpur and verified, later-on he was arrested by SI Neeraj Kumar.
PREVIOUS HISTORY
Gangster Vinit Gahlot @ Vicky has tainted past and involved in Murder and Arms Act cases. He belongs to notorious Manjeet Mahal Gang which is known for murder, dacoity, and extortion in NCR Area. His elder brother Ashok Gahlot is also dreaded Gangster and presently lodged in Mandoli Jail under MCOCA Act as about 18 cases of murder, extortion and Arms Act registered against him. Accused Vinit was produced in the hon’ble court and his police remand was obtained. Further investigation is in progress.
VINIT IS WANTED IN THE FOLLOWING CASES
*He was involved in the sensational and dreaded murder of Deepak while committing a dacoity in Showroom of Sector-20, Panchkula and Manoj was got bullet injures.
*He was also involved in contract killing of Bulaki in Bijnore who was shot dead and MahavirFouji got bullet injures in his legs.
*He managed to escape from Police as while his car was rammed and he left his Jaguar Car and Pistol on the spot. An attempt to Murder the police case was registered
*He supplied illegal arms in Chandigarh in above mentioned case.
*He has been declared PO from Panchkula and Bijnore.
