CONFERENCE SUPPORTED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR, ORGANISED BY SILVER FERN EDUCATION CONSULTANTS, WILL BE CONCLUDED ON JULY 24

The 2nd edition of The John’s Model United Nations conference supported by the University of Windsor, organised by Silver Fern Education Consultants, got underway today with the opening ceremony being held at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh.
The ceremony was graced by the eminent presence of Mr. Patrick Hebert, the Consul General of Canada in Chandigarh. The joyous ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp along with informative and valuable speeches by the esteemed guests of honour including experts from the University of Windsor and cultural performances by the enthusiastic students of St. John’s High School.
(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC2)(SUBHEAD)The 2nd edition of the conference saw an excellent turnout of nearly 400 delegates representing more than 50 schools across the country. After the completion of the opening ceremony, the various committee sessions commenced at St. John’s High School which is the venue for the MUN. For the John’s MUN, 7 committees have been formulated such as the ICJ, UNGA SOCHUM, Lok Sabha and the UNSC.
Over the course of the next three days the committees will be deliberating on various global issues such as the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, refugee crises, the Ukraine-Russia War and climate change. The motto of the conference is “Evolution for Revolution”.
The Executive Board of the Conference has also been trained by professionals from CLAT Possible who are educators in law related education. The academic faculty of CLAT Possible has had extensive experience in facilitating multiple national level MUNs. CLAT Possible has greatly contributed in streamlining the decorum of the conference along with establishing the right channels of communication to ensure the maximum participation of delegates and effective sharing of information.
The conference now looks forward to extensive hours of deliberations over the next two days where the delegates will go head to head, with winners being announced on the 24th of July followed by the closure of the event.
