ELECTRONICS CPC TEAM FINISHES SECOND, DAINIK JAGRAN SECURES THIRD PLACE

Dainik Bhaskar claimed the title of the 6-A-side Inter-Media Cricket Tournament, organized by the Chandigarh Press Club. Nine teams representing various media organizations participated in the tournament, which was held at DAV College-10. Delivering a stellar performance in the final match, the Dainik Bhaskar team clinched the championship trophy.

The Electronics CPC team finished as runners-up, while Dainik Jagran secured the third position.

In the final showdown, batting first, Dainik Bhaskar posted a total of 77/2 runs in 6 overs. For Bhaskar, Gaurav Marwaha played a magnificent innings of 59 runs and emerged as the match's top scorer. In reply, the Electronics CPC team could only manage to score 10/5 runs in 1.5 overs. Bhaskar registered a victory by a massive margin of 68 runs, thereby capturing the title.

Bhaskar had also dominated the earlier qualifying matches. Batting first in the qualifiers, Dainik Bhaskar scored 115/0 runs in 6 overs. Gaurav Marwaha played a crucial innings of 65 runs. While chasing the target, the Dainik Jagran team could only score 35 runs. Bhaskar won this match by 81 runs.

Meanwhile, in the second qualifier, Dainik Jagran batted first and scored 39 runs. Balwan contributed 19 runs to the total. In response, Electronics CPC successfully chased down the target within 4 overs. For the team, Raj (28) and Chauhan (10) remained unbeaten and guided their side to victory. The entire team of the Press Club was present throughout the duration of the tournament.
