Dr. Ajay Kumar, Secretary Defence Production while addressing the NCC cadets in the auditorium of the Tantia University located on Sriganganagar-Hanumangarh Road Saturday evening, said that it gives enthusiasm to do something for the country.
NCC Director General Lt Gen Gurbalpal Singh, Air Commodore Lalit Kumar Jain, Joint Secretary Mayank Tiwari accompanied Dr Kumar. University Vice Chairman Dr. Mohit Tantia, Executive Director KS Sukhdev and President Prof. MM Saxena welcomed him. The Defence Secretary presented a specially brought memento to Dr. Tantia on the occasion. Col. Sanjay Gupta briefed about the activities of NCC. The program was conducted under the leadership of Deputy Registrar Rakesh Verma and Yogacharya Lt. Sandeep Kumar Bhambhu, in-charge of the NCC unit.(SUBHEAD)
The Defence Secretary said that the NCC paves the way forward, it can lead to the highest rank. Being in it means constantly striving to do the best. Referring to digital technology, mobile apps, digital forms, etc., he mentioned the need to always be updated.
Referring to 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' programme, Dr. Ajay Kumar said that all the cadets should have knowledge of a language other than their mother tongue, at least five sentences of them must be learned. Referring to the spread of false information on the Internet and social media, the Defence Secretary said that it is challenging, and should be taken care of.
University Vice Chairman Dr. Mohit Tantia said that it is a matter of great pride to have Dr. Ajay Kumar here, till date no senior officer of this rank has come. He has informed about the schemes of the Ministry of Defence and has given encouragement to the NCC cadets.
