Mr.Vinod Mittal and Mr. Avasthi were declared winners under the 60 plus category in16th Aswani Gupta Memorial District Badminton Championships, Panchkula. The prize distribution function took place at the Badminton Hall, Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, here today.
Shri Gian Chand Gupta, Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, was the chief guest, and Smt. Kanwal Thakar Singh, Arjuna Awardee and former National Champion was the guest of honour.
Vinod Mittal said that he was happy to win the championship as the badminton sport was his first love, which also keeps him fit and active.
The championships were organized by the District Badminton Association, Panchkula, with the support of Ashwani Gupta Memorial Trust.
