CBI ARRESTS A CHIEF ENGINEER OF SOUTH CENTRAL RAILWAY FOR ACCEPTING BRIBE OF Rs. FIVE LAKH

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reported to have arrested a Chief Engineer, South Central Railway, Secunderabad for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. Five lakh from the Complainant.

A case was registered on 29.06.2022 against Chief Engineer/Con-VI/SC, South Central Railway, Rail Nirman Nilayam, Secunderabad on the allegations that the accused had demanded Rs.5,00,000/- from the Complainant for extending currency of the contract for construction of ROB between Uppal-Jammikunta Railway Stations.

CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 5,00,000/- from the Complainant.

Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused.
