Gurmonsi, a promising student of D.A.V. Senior Secondary Model School, Abohar, has won the 7th Open State Shooting Association Air Pistol/Air Rifle Championship held at Tarn Taran in the age group 17.
Performing excellently, she won the gold and prize money of Rs 11 thousand for the second consecutive year. Her achievement among the total 75 contestants is a matter of pride not only for the school but also for the entire region.
Principal, Smita Sharma congratulated Gurmonsi and the Head of the Physical Education Department of the school, Ravi Kumar, Poonam Jakhar and Rajesh Bhateja The Principal said that this achievement is the result of the student's hard work, discipline and dedicated guidance of the instructors.
