Industrial Area Police achieved a major success by arresting accused namely Raju Sagar S/o Kheyali Lal R/o H. No. 1556, Sector-45, Burail, Chandigarh, Age 24 years who involved in Case FIR No 78, Dt 22.04.2022, U/s 379 IPC, PS Ind. Area, Chandigarh.
Keeping in view of the increase in property crime cases in the city, as per the directions of senior officers in the supervision of SDPO/East Miss Palak Goel a team consisting of Insp. Ram Rattan, SHO and other police officials of PS Ind. Area was constituted.
On 20.06.2022 ASI Parjeewan Singh 192/CP along with police party apprehended above said accused Raju Sagar, while he was going on the stolen case property i.e. cycle of the above said case FIR and on the secret information accused was arrested.
Later during interrogation 12 more cycles have been recovered on his instance from different area/sectors of Chandigarh, which were stolen by the accused from the different areas/sectors of Chandigarh and same were taken into Police possession U/s 102 Cr.P.C.
MODUS OPERANDI: Accused used to steal cycles parked without lock and further use to give it to his friends for use, claiming it to be of his own cycle.
The Accused Raju Sagar (24) studied upto 7th class and was working as Private Electrician. The case is under investigation.
