CHANDIGARH PRESS CLUB FORMER PRESIDENT ABHIJIT CHATTERJEE PASSES AWAY

Former President of Chandigarh Press Club Sh.Abhijit Chatterjee left for his heavenly abode due to heart attack at Delhi.

Mr. Saurabh Duggal President, Mr. Rajinder S. Nagarkoti, Secretary General and Governing Council of the Chandigarh Press Club condole the sad demise of Sh. Chatterjee, who was associated with the Tribune Trust for a long time.  His last posting was of Chief News Editor, later he joined the journalism department of Chitkara University

He was an avid cricket writer.

Interestingly his membership as Member of Chandigarh Press Club was  R-1 and he remained the secretary general of the club in 1997-98 and later as the president of the club from 1998 to 2000.

Known as Chat Sahab , ever smiling face,  a regular visitor in club events. 

His contribution in the field of journalism, at the Chandigarh Press Club, and later as an academician will always be remembered, add Mr. Saurabh Duggal.

Former CM Captain Amrinder Singh in his tweet said, “Saddened to hear about the demise of veteran journalist & former President of Chandigarh Press Club Abhijit Chatterjee due to a heart attack. My heartfelt condolences are with the family. RIP!”
