The AATS team of South East District has arrested one desperate criminal Neeraj. With his arrest, one automatic pistol, four live cartridges and one stolen motorcycle have been recovered from his possession. In addition to it, one case of MV theft has also been worked out.
A dedicated team comprising SI Ram Kumar, ASI Rajeev Kumar, ASI Roop Singh, ASI Vinod Kumar, HC Sharwan, HC Parveen, Ct Debanad, Ct Manoj, Ct Mohit and Ct Amit led by Insp Rajender Singh Dagar under the supervision of Sh Manoj Sinha ACP/Operations was assigned the task to track and nab the active criminals, who are using firearms in the area of Southeast District. On 29.05.2022, the team received a secret piece of information that at about 10.45 PM, one sharp shooter of Neeraj Bawania and Naveen Bali Gang who is carrying a pistol would come on a stolen motorcycle bearing No. XXXX from Badarpur side towards Madangir via MB Road to meet one of his friends.
Responding on to the secret tip received, the team laid a trap near Lal Kuan Bus stand, MB road. At about 10.50 PM, one person was seen coming from Badarpur side.
Ms. Isha Pandey, DCP, said, the secret informer pointed towards him and the team apprehended him after multiple attempts. On his cursory search, he was found carrying an automatic pistol and four live cartridges. On enquiry, he was identified as Neeraj s/o Ram Kishan R/o Pul Prahlad Pur, Delhi age 32 yrs. Through technical surveillance, the recovered motorcycle was found stolen in case E FIR No 024135/21 u/s 379 IPC of PS Jyoti Nagar. With his arrest, one automatic pistol, four live cartridges and one stolen motorcycle have been recovered from his possession.
On sustained interrogation, accused Neeraj disclosed that he had been indulged in nefarious activities since his adolescence. He started consuming alcohol and joined Monty gang. He committed many heinous crimes under his patronage. After Monty’s murder, he joined Neeraj Bawania and Naveen Bali gang as a sharp shooter.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON : Accused Neeraj s/o Ram Kishan R/o Pul Prahlad Pur, Delhi age 32 yrs has studied up to 12th class. He is a counterpart of Neeraj Bawania and Naveen Bali gang. He is previously involved in two cases of murder and attempt to murder.
