Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the holy granth Gita offers solutions to every problem facing the world. He added that its teachings remain fully relevant even today, and that every individual should incorporate them into their daily lives. The International Gita Mahotsav, he said, plays a vital role in spreading these teachings to the masses. This year, with support from the Ministry of External Affairs, Gita Mahotsav events are being organized in 50 countries.

Earlier, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Director General of the Information, Public Relations and Languages Department K M Pandurang, and former Minister of State Subhash Sudha performed the Maha Aarti at Brahma Sarovar and offered their reverence to the Gita. The Chief Minister said that the Gita is a spiritual guide that teaches how to live life and embodies the essence of the Vedas. He explained that God created the four Vedas through four sages, and that their knowledge was passed down through the Upanishads, ultimately finding expression in the Gita.

He said that the Gita teaches us to perform our duties and represents the way of life in Indian philosophy—reflecting the life teachings of Lord Krishna. The Gita, he said, provides solutions to every challenge in life and helps distinguish between happiness and sorrow based on what is favorable or unfavorable. He described the Gita as a remarkable text rooted in Indian traditions.

Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the Gita should be read in every household and should become a mass movement, as it contains answers to all of life’s problems.
