SIMRAN HONOURED WITH KHEL RATNA AWARD

Simran Bedi, daughter of Manjit Singh Bedi, a resident of Abohar, has won a silver medal in the Under-20 National Rankings tournament that was recently conducted by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) in Patna.

Simran was honored with Surinder Jakhar Trust Khel Ratna Award by MLA Sandeep Jakhar for her tireless hard work that brought laurel.

On the occasion, the legislator while congratulating the family members of Simran and wishing him a bright future said that Simran has emerged as an inspiration for the youth of the area, others will move towards sports and bring laurels to the country. He said that there is a need for parents to raise their daughters according to their creative interests. If parents help, then daughters will definitely show ahead of sons.

Simran's grandfather Shyam Singh Bedi, grandmother Sudesh Bedi, mother Anu Bedi, sister Sania Bedi, Naresh Maluja, Vandeep Dhillon, Ashok, Balwant Nokhwal, Prince Arniwala, Lalit Kumar, Aman Sidana, Happy Brar were also present.
