The first Test between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled to be played on March 4 at Punjab Cricket Association Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium, Mohali.

'Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Isha Kalia  on Wednesday held a meeting with the senior officials of the Cricket Association regarding this Test match. Presiding over the meeting, Mrs. Isha Kalia directed the organizers of the match to ensure adherence to the Covid Protocol during the Test match.

Ms. Isha Kalia said that cricket is a popular game of people and a large number of spectators can come together to watch the Test match between India and Sri Lanka.

She asked the management to ensure the entry of spectators through all the gates of the cricket stadium so that there would be no gathering in view of Covid and the spectators could enter the stadium from the prescribed distance. She said that only 50 per cent capacity of the stadium is allowed.

(SUBHEAD)She appealed to the spectators to observe the precautions prescribed by the health department for prevention of corona virus, use of masks, sanitizer, and ensure proper distance and adherence to covid protocol during the match. She said that people who have not yet got vaccinated both doses of covid vaccine should be vaccinated to prevent corona virus.
