GOPASHTAMI CELEBRATED WITH FERVOUR AND GAIETY AT ABOHAR

The sacred festival of Gopashtami was celebrated with fervour and gaiety today at the Shri Gaushala premises. Former MLA Davinder Ghubaya was the chief guest, while former Irrigation and Cooperative Minister Sajjan Kumar Jakhar presided over the event. Gau Sewa Convener Chander Kant was the keynote speaker. District Planning Board Chairman Upkar Singh Jakhar and Beopar Mandal president Suresh Satija were especially present.

Davinder Singh Ghubaya praised the Abohar Gaushala's management, saying that it has become famous as a prominent cow shelter. On behalf of his father, Sher Singh Ghubaya MP, he announced Rs 2 lakh from his MPLAD Fund to the Gaushala. Sajjan Kumar Jakhar said that serving the cow mother liberates all sins. He donated Rs 51,000 to the Gaushala, considering cow donation the highest form of charity. Chander Kant said that we should serve cows as much as possible. The guests inaugurated five new Gau Sevak quarters for Gausevaks.

Mayor Vimal Thatai, Raghubir Bhadu Waryamkhera, Rakesh Rathi, Madan Lal Bhalotia, Ramesh Gandhi, Purushottam Mittal from Delhi, Dr. G.R. Garg, Dr. Prem Periwal and Sahitya Sadan president Suryakant Rinwa were also present.

Gaushala Managing Committee President Fakir Chand Goyal and General Secretary Rakesh Kalani thanked all the guests.
