Four wanted criminals were killed in an encounter with a joint team of Delhi Police and Bihar Police in the national capital's Rohini area. These criminals were allegedly involved in several murder cases in Bihar, police said. According to a senior police officer, the accused had been hiding in Delhi for several days. The joint team launched an operation between Tuesday and Wednesday midnight to search for them, during which the encounter took place.

According to police, the killed criminals have been identified as Ranjan Pathak, Vimlesh Mahato, Manish Pathak, and Aman Thakur, residents of Bihar. They were wanted in several heinous criminal cases, including murder and extortion.

The officer said that during the search operation, the accused opened fire on the police team. In self-defense, the police retaliated, injuring all four. He said that the injured criminals were taken to a hospital in Rohini, where doctors declared them dead. Police sources said that the gang leader, Ranjan Pathak, operated an organized criminal network in Bihar and surrounding states.
