BK Shantanu Bhai, National Convenor of the Brahma Kumaris Media, has called upon the media to adopt the principle of “Na Kahu se Dosti, Na Kahu se Bair”.

On his arrival at the Brahma Kumaris' Anubhuti Bhawan in Fazilka, he was warmly welcomed by center in-charge BK Priya Bhabhi and BK Shalini. Senior journalist Rakesh Nagpal and Retd. official Mahendra Tripathi was present on the occasion.

(SUBHEAD)At a get-together with media personnel, Shantanu Bhai said that truthfulness, impartiality, transparency and accountability are the four pillars of the media, which is called the fourth pillar of democracy. He said that Mahatma Gandhi had said that journalism has no meaning without service. However, in today's changing era, the media faces many challenges.

Attempts are being made to politicize the media. He stated that since India is an ancient nation, the media should not be subject to foreign influence and should serve the people through Indianization. He added that in this age of artificial intelligence, verifying the veracity of news has become a major challenge, and that dedicated journalism is essential to overcome this. He called for the media to promote peace, unity, and trust, and to prominently publish only positive news and issues of public interest.

Priya Behan, Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh, senior journalists Praful Chander Nagpal and Liladhar Sharma said that Brahma Kumaris have given a new direction to the society by organising well-attended media conferences.
