LUDHIANA POLICE CONDUCT RAIDS, CONFISCATE LARGE QUANTITY OF COUNTERFEIT SKF BEARINGS

To combat the rising menace of counterfeit products deceiving innocent consumers and to safeguard the esteemed brand value of SKF bearings, a leading brand in India, a raid action was carried out in Ludhiana by the Police with the assistance of the Brand Owner. The objective was to tackle the proliferation of counterfeit goods across the city.

The raid was conducted on two locations in different regions of Ludhiana viz. Popular Bearing & Mill Store, Vijay Bearing Company (Shop & Godown) with the help of Division 6, Ludhiana Police Station officials respectively. Two persons were arrested named Ranjeet Singh & Vijay Sharma.

SKF bearings is a leading brand (in the industry) and due to its superior quality, the products of SKF are in good demand in India. The accused were found selling counterfeit bearings to consumers in Ludhiana and regions around. The entities were found to be stocking more than 7500 pieces of fake bearings.

The raid team, comprising both law enforcement officials and representatives of SKF, successfully identified the counterfeit goods. First Information Report has been filed against the accused, and the raid was conducted under the jurisdiction of Ludhiana Police Stations to address the threat of counterfeiting.
