JOINT DIRECTOR PUNJAB PR PREET KANWAL SINGH BEREAVED: MOTHER PASSES AWAY

Preet Kanwal Singh, Joint Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, suffered a profound loss as his mother, Swaranjit Kaur, passed away last evening. She was 80 years old and had been unwell for some time. Today, at the Sector 25 Cremation Ground, people from various walks of life gathered to bid her an emotional final farewell. 

She is survived by her husband, S. Bahadur Singh; sons Amandeep Singh and Preet Kanwal Singh; daughter Advocate Gagan Mohini; and their families. 

To pay homage, Amanjot Singh, OSD (Media) to the Chief Minister, and Sundeep Singh Garha, Additional Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, laid wreaths on behalf of the Punjab Government. 

Among those present were Anil Saini, Director (Media Communication) to the Chief Minister; IAS officers D.S. Mangat and Sukhjit Pal Singh; former Justices P.S. Teji and S.S. Saro; Additional Directors of the Department Randeep Singh Ahluwalia and Harjeet Singh Grewal; Joint Directors Ishwinder Singh Grewal and Manvinder Singh; and Deputy Directors Shikha Nehra, Gurmeet Singh Khaira, and Navdeep Singh Gill. Also present were all IPROs, APROs, department staff, as well as journalists and advocates.
