SAD LEADER HARRY SANDHU REVIEWS ONGOING RELIEF WORK

Read in:English

Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

(MOREPIC1)SAD senior leader Harbinder Singh Harry Sandhu reviewed the ongoing relief work at Patti Billa village of Abohar constituency and assured the villagers of all possible help after listening to their problems.

He said that after the recent flood-like situation in Abohar, the relief work was started by Sukhbir Singh Badal, President Shiromani Akali Dal, which is being carried continuously. It was heartening to know that the villagers are quite satisfied with the relief work being done so far.

The SAD chief was the first senior political leader who visited several villages of Abohar sub division and took the state government head-on for failing to drain water that had started submerging hundreds of acres of land. Water had also affected orchards for which the government had made no provision to compensate for the loss. Sukhbir Badal had provided pumps to each village to drain out stinking water besides gifting fogging machines to tackle the mosquito menace. He had described the situation as man-made disaster since drains and village ponds had not been cleaned before the arrival of monsoon.
