(MOREPIC1) The Haryana government has appointed Dr. Sumedha Kataria, a Retd IAS officer, as a member of the State Police Complaints Authority (SPCA), Haryana. Her tenure will be three years. Last month, the government had appointed retired IPS Dr. RC Mishra as the Chairman of the Authority and IAS Lalit Siwach as a member.

Originally from Abohar, Dr. Sumedha Kataria's administrative career is considered inspiring. She began her career through the HCS Allied in 1989 and became Haryana's first female BDPO. After training, her first posting was in Guhla. After being selected in the HCS in 1992, she was promoted to the IAS in 2016 and allotted to the 2005 batch.
