SIXTH EDITION OF THE LATE LALA AMARNATH AGARWAL CASH PRIZE CRICKET TOURNAMENT: TEN UNDER-15 CRICKET TEAMS FROM ACROSS NORTH INDIA WILL PARTICIPATE

A total of ten Under-15 cricket teams from across North India will participate in the sixth edition of the Late Lala Amarnath Agarwal Cash Prize Cricket Tournament at the TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula, starting March 12th.

According to Amarjeet Kumar, General Secretary of the Haryana Sports Welfare Association (Regd.), a total of ten teams from across North India will compete for the Chokhi Dhani Trophy in the upcoming prestigious sixth edition of the Lala Amarnath Agarwal Cash Prize Under-15 Cricket Tournament. The sixth edition of the tournament will be played from March 12th to April 2nd at the TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula, Haryana, the Tri City Inderjit Cricket Ground, and the IVCA Cricket Ground, Derabassi. The final match and grand prize distribution ceremony will be held on April 2nd at the TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula.

(SUBHEAD)The main objective of organizing this tournament is to nurture junior cricketers and provide them with a suitable platform to hone their skills and showcase their talent so that they can make a mark at the national level, as well as to help keep the young generation from rural areas/backward classes/societies away from drug addiction. Since its inception (2004), the Haryana Sports Welfare Association (Registered) has been operating for the past 22 years. The primary objective of the Haryana Sports Welfare Association (Registered) is to regularly organize the girls' cricket tournament “Beti Khilao,” based on the theme of “Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child.” This is a social campaign of the Government of India aimed at creating awareness and improving the efficiency of welfare services for girls.

A total of 10 top teams from the Northern Region, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Tri-City, Chandigarh will compete for the Chokhi Dhani Trophy in the prestigious 6th edition of the Lala Amarnath Agarwal Memorial Cash Prize Under-15 Cricket Tournament.

The winning team will receive a glittering trophy along with a cash prize of ₹31,000, while the runner-up will receive a glittering trophy along with a cash prize of ₹21,000. The association will also award trophies and cricket sports kits to the tournament's best bowler, best batsman, best wicketkeeper, best fielder, and best all-rounder.

Each team will play at least four matches of 30 overs each, using the Super Sub pattern (12 players allowed). The semi-finals and final will be played on April 1st and 2nd at the TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula. The organizers will provide good quality red match balls, good refreshment boxes, and mineral water. Online scoring on CricHero, BCCI/State Panel Umpires, and good media coverage. All matches will be played according to BCCI rules. All matches will be played with white attire and a red ball. The Association will also award trophies and cricket sports kits to the tournament's Best Bowler, Best Batsman, Best Wicketkeeper, Best Fielder, and Best All-Rounder.
