BRIGADIER PS CHEEMA INSPIRES CADETS AT NCC CATC

Brigadier PS Cheema, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, Group Commander of Ludhiana Group, visited the NCC Academy, Malout to observe the ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-62, Pre-RDC-1). The camp is hosting 518 cadets from 25 Punjab Battalion, Abohar, and other units under Group Headquarters, Ludhiana. 

Brig Cheema was warmly received by Col Rajeev Sirohi, Camp Commandant, and Lt Col Gaurav Nyol, Deputy Camp Commandant. The cadets honored him with a guard of honour. The Group Commander was briefed on the camp’s training and administrative aspects, including the rigorous selection process and preparation for the Republic Day Camp (RDC) in New Delhi next year. Lt Col Gaurav Nyol also updated him on administrative matters and the progress of repair and maintenance work at the NCC Academy. 

He witnessed various training activities, including drill practice, firing sessions, weapon training, and vibrant cultural performances by the cadets aspiring to be selected for the Republic Day Camp in Delhi. Addressing the cadets, he urged them to embrace the camp as an adventure and focus on self-improvement through hard work and dedication. His motivational words emphasized the importance of resilience and personal growth, inspiring the cadets to push their limits. 

The Group Commander also inspected the infrastructure of the NCC Academy, discussing potential improvements to enhance the facilities.
