JUNIOR ENGINEER SUSPENDED AFTER HISAR ELECTROCUTION INCIDENT

Haryana Energy Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident in Hisar where three individuals lost their lives after coming in contact with an 11 kV power line. Sh. Vij announced that the families of the deceased will be provided with appropriate compensation. Taking serious note of the matter, a Junior Engineer has been placed under suspension. 

While interacting with media persons today, Sh. Vij said that a committee comprising the Director (Operations) and Director (Projects) has been constituted to investigate the incident. The committee will submit a detailed report upon completion of the inquiry, and further action will follow accordingly. 

Sh. Vij expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and reiterated that such incidents will not be taken lightly. 

Sub-Station Floor Levels to Be Raised 

Highlighting preventive measures, Sh. Vij said that as per the information he have, several sub-stations in Hisar have been affected by waterlogging. To avoid future damage and disruption of electricity supply, he has directed officers in writing to conduct a study of vulnerable sub-stations and raise their floor levels before the next monsoon season.
