BAINS BRAVES RAINS TO REACH OUT PEOPLE IN DISTRESS

(MOREPIC1) Leading from the front to ensure rescue & relief operations in Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency amidst incessant rains leading to flood-like situation, Punjab Education and Information & Public Relations Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains, on Tuesday, visited over dozen flood-affected villages situated near the Sutlej River to ensure timely support to people in need. 

Braving the heavy rains, S. Bains traveled by boat and motorcycle to reach relief camps and villages including Harsa Bela, Bhanam, Bhallan, Bhallri, Nangra, Bela Ramgarh and Bela Dhyani. 

While overseeing the arrangements, the Minister directed officials to perform their duties with utmost dedication and diligence. He reaffirmed the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government’s unwavering commitment to protect their lives and property. 

S. Harjot Singh Bains informed that over 30 relief camps have been established in Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency to provide critical support, including medical care, food and shelter, to those impacted by the floods. 

The Education Minister urged local organisations, including youth clubs and Mahila Mandals, to join hands with the district administration in relief efforts. Meanwhile, he also inspected river and canal banks, directing immediate measures to prevent potential damage from water erosion. He said that relief centres are operational, ready to accommodate residents from sensitive areas as a precautionary measure.
