PANCHAYAT MINISTER TS SAUD REACHES FAZILKA WITH RELIEF MATERIALS

Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saud today visited the flood-hit border villages of Fazilka by boat. On this occasion, he took supplies with him for the border villages and along with distributing ration there, sick people were also taken out safely by boats. MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna accompanied him. 

Saud delivered supplies to Gulaba Bhaini, Gatti Number One and nearby Dhanis by boats. He had also brought two trucks of relief materials with him from his assembly constituency. He said that the water level is almost the same as yesterday and 2.62 lakh cusecs of water is flowing from Hussainiwala headworks. 

The minister said that at present the priority of the government is to evacuate the stranded people and provide immediate help. He said that it is being ensured that no person is left without ration. He said that eight relief camps have been set up and all possible help has been provided to the people who have reached there by the administration. He said that cattle feed, green fodder, maize pickle for animals and provisions for humans are being delivered door to door. 

MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna said that today, along with providing relief in various villages, sick people have also been evacuated quickly.
