THREE-DAY WORKSHOP ORGANISED TO STRENGTHEN COORDINATION BETWEEN ARMY, BSF AND CIVIL ADMINISTRATION

A three-day workshop was organized in Fazilka to further strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF) and the Civil Administration. The workshop focused on security, development and social issues related to border areas. 

The workshop was attended by Brigadier Sushil Chandwani of the Indian Army, Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu, SSP Gurmeet Singh, ADC Dr. Mandeep Kaur, SDM Veerpal Kaur, senior BSF officers and heads of various district departments.

(SUBHEAD)The participants stressed the need for more effective coordination and communication among the Army, BSF and Civil Administration to ensure improved security and civic amenities for the border residents. 

The Indian Army assured that its units remain ever-prepared to assist civil authorities during conflicts and natural calamities. It was also resolved to keep strict vigil on the spread of rumours and fake news in border regions to maintain peace and security. 

All the officers present unanimously agreed to continue joint efforts for resolving the problems of border residents and strengthening national security. On the last day, the DC along with other officials visited the border areas and paid homage to martyrs at the Asafwala War Memorial.
