The Office of the Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), Punjab Telecom Circle, conducted its Quarterly Pension Adalat-cum-LC/DLC Camp and Telecom Outreach Programme on August 8, at the Office of the General Manager Telecom District, BSNL, Ferozepur.

The Pension Adalat, chaired by Dy. Controller of Communication Accounts, Punjab Circle, Sh. Akshay Gupta, and guided by Sr. Accounts Officer (Pension), O/o the CCA, Punjab, Sh. Ramji Lal Yadav, addressed 20 pension-related grievances from retired employees and family pensioners of the Department of Telecommunications and BSNL in the Punjab Circle. All grievances were successfully resolved during the session, with prior intimation of the hearing schedule communicated to stakeholders via SMS, email, or post.

Sh. Akshay Gupta emphasized the importance of the timely and effective resolution of pension grievances to ensure ease and dignity for pensioners. Alongside the Pension Adalat, a health awareness session was conducted, wherein Dr. Ashwani Kumar from Ferozepur Medicity Superspecialist Hospital sensitized pensioners on lifestyle diseases post-retirement. The pensioners appreciated the CCA Punjab’s concern for their health and well-being.

The afternoon session featured a Telecom Outreach Programme, engaging 24 licensees from across Punjab and Chandigarh. The programme covered topics including the timely payment of license fees, submission of quarterly and annual audited financial documents, renewal of bank guarantees, and the functionalities of the Revenue Management Software (SARAS).

Sh. Akshay Gupta highlighted the pivotal role of local ISP operators in advancing the Digital India mission and expanding internet access to rural and semi-urban areas, urging licensees to strictly comply with regulatory requirements.

In line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision for the green revolution—Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam—70 saplings were distributed to the participants.

The CCA Punjab reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency, efficiency, and proactive engagement with stakeholders in both pension and telecom-related matters.
