UT Administration’s Education Deptt. declare summer vacations from 23.05.2026 to 30.06.2026 (39Days).
Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Education Secretary. Chandigarh Administration., while issuing the order said, al the Government and Government Aided Schools, UT, Chandigarh will observe the following schedule of holidays during the calendar year 2026.
Summer Vacation: 23.05.2026 to 30.06.2026-39 Days, 29 & 30th June,2026, will be working day for teachers.
Autumn Break: 07.11.2026 to 11.11.20265 Days (Saturday) (Wednesday)
Winter Break: 26.12.2026 to 07.01.2027 13 Days, (Saturday) (Thursday)
Local Holiday: 28.08.2026 (Friday) 29.10.2026 (Thursday)
Raksha Bandhan, Karwa Chouth : One during the year at the discretion of Principal/ Head of the school
Second Saturday is to be observed as holiday in all Govt/ Govt. Aided Schools, UT, Chandigarh.
