CONVOCATION CEREMONY OF NATUROPATHY AND YOGA HELD AT GANDHI SMARAK BHAVAN

A grand Convocation Ceremony for students of Naturopathy and Yoga (NDDY) was organized today at Gandhi Smarak Bhavan, Sector 16, Chandigarh, run by Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, distinguished guests, and individuals associated with the fields of health and yoga.

The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. Anish Garg, Vice Chairman of the Chandigarh Sahityik Evam Sanskritik Academy. The Distinguished Guest was Dr. Jagtar Singh Khattra, former DPI (Punjab) and former Director of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).

The programme commenced with floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and a tree plantation drive. The guests shared their thoughts on Gandhian values, natural living, and the growing importance of yoga and naturopathy in modern society.

In his address, Dr. Anish Garg emphasized that naturopathy and yoga are not merely systems of treatment but a way of life that promotes holistic health and well-being. He encouraged the graduating students to dedicate themselves to public service and spread awareness about healthy living in society.

Dr. Jagtar Singh Khattra congratulated the students and remarked that the increasing relevance of naturopathy would play a significant role in shaping the future of healthcare.

During the ceremony, 17 students were awarded diplomas in Naturopathy and Yoga (NDDY) and were administered an oath of professional ethics and service. The cultural segment added vibrancy to the event, with dance performances by Ansha, Deepika Malik, Vandana, and Vinita, which were highly appreciated by the audience.

The programme was efficiently conducted by Mr. Praveen Sudhakar, Mr. Suresh Chandra Verma, and their team. Among those present were Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Mr. Govind Kumar, Mr. Sukhwinder, Mr. Akhilesh, Ms. Sanju, and Mrs. Geeta, along with several other distinguished guests. Approximately 100 participants attended the event.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks to all guests, participants, and supporters. The organizers reaffirmed their commitment to promoting naturopathy, yoga, and Gandhian ideals for a healthier and more harmonious society.
