BRIG SATYA NARAIN SINGH RETIRES FROM DEPUTY DIRECTOR GENERAL, NCC DIRECTORATE, PHHP&C

In a handing over ceremony held on retirement of Brig Satya Narain Singh, Deputy Director General (DDG) the NCC Directorate, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh (PHHP&C) here today, Brig Rajeev Kapur, Sena Medal, took over the reins of DDG ensuring a seamless transition of responsibilities.

Brig Satya Narain Singh, a distinguished alumnus of Sainik School, Kunjpura, and National Defence Academy (NDA), was commissioned into 3 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry on December 14, 1991. During his illustrious 35-year career, he served in various capacities across India, showcasing his versatility and dedication.

Brig Singh's achievements include commanding 17 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry and 76 Infantry Brigade, and being awarded the GOC-in-C Commendation thrice. As DDG, NCC Directorate, PHHP&C, Brig Singh fostered a positive and cohesive work environment, inspiring his team to deliver exceptional results.

Brig Rajeev Kapur brings extensive experience to his new role. He commanded an Infantry Brigade in Ladakh during Operation Galwan and NCC Group Headquarters at Jorhat.

The outgoing and incoming officers exchanged warm sentiments & best wishes. NCC staff acknowledged Brig Singh's dedication and welcomed Brig Kapur's leadership.
