Ar. Sanjay Goel, Former Director of Ludhiana Smart City Limited, has welcomed the announcement of the upcoming virtual inauguration of the much-awaited International Airport at Halwara.

In a statement issued here today, he said it is a matter of great pride and joy not only for Ludhiana but for the entire state of Punjab that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the airport on July 27.

“This long-pending demand of the people of Ludhiana is finally becoming a reality. The city, which has been waiting for decades for its own international airport, will now be directly connected to global destinations,” said Goel.

He expressed confidence that this landmark development would pave the way for transformative growth in the region. “The operationalization of the International Airport at Halwara will open up enormous opportunities for business, industry, and tourism. It is expected to attract massive investments, generate employment, and further strengthen Ludhiana’s status as the financial capital of Punjab,” Goel added.

(SUBHEAD)Highlighting the city’s key role in Punjab’s economy, he noted that Ludhiana is home to some of the state’s largest industrialists and entrepreneurs. “Enhanced air connectivity will help boost exports, attract investors, and also promote tourism, which in turn will contribute to the socio-economic development of the region,” he concluded.

It may be mentioned here that Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora while presiding over a meeting of officials at Bachat Bhawan here today, had announced that the terminal building of Halwara Airport would be virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 27.
