In a major administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and law enforcement, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered the transfer of 61 AGMUT cadre officers with immediate effect. The transfers include 21 IAS officers and 40 IPS officers, covering several Union Territories and states under the AGMUT cadre.
According to the official order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the reshuffle affects officers serving in Delhi, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Goa, Mizoram, Puducherry, Arunachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (DNH & DD). All transferred officers have been directed to assume charge at their new postings without delay.
Chandigarh Police Sees Key Changes: The transfer order has brought significant changes to the Chandigarh Police with three IPS officers being transferred out and two new IPS officers posted to the Union Territory.
IPS officers transferred from Chandigarh: Manjeet (2015 batch) has been transferred from Chandigarh to Delhi. , Geetanjali Khandelwal (2015 batch) has also been shifted from Chandigarh to Delhi. K.M. Priyanka (2021 batch) has been transferred from Chandigarh to Jammu & Kashmir.
New IPS officers posted to Chandigarh: Rajesh Kumar Sharma (2014 batch) has been transferred from Jammu & Kashmir to Chandigarh. Vineet Kumar (2018 batch) has been transferred from Delhi to Chandigarh.
