UNION EDUCATION MINISTER DHARMENDRA PRADHAN RESIGNS, APPEALS TO STUDENTS TO STAY FOCUSED ON STUDIES

Face2News/New Delhi

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from the Union Cabinet amid ongoing protests by students and youth in the national capital. He has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a significant political development.

For several days, protesting students, youth groups, opposition parties, and activists associated with the Cockroach Janata Party had been demanding Pradhan’s resignation.
Sharing a two-page open letter addressed to the country’s youth on social media, Pradhan said he was deeply saddened by the developments surrounding the controversy.

“The way students have been misled and the situation that has unfolded has left me deeply distressed. Resigning from the post of Education Minister is not a matter of personal prestige for me. We will not allow the youth of the country to fall prey to confusion or any conspiracy. That remains my commitment,” he wrote.

Pradhan further stated that his decision was aimed at ensuring that the ongoing protests at Jantar Mantar and elsewhere in the country do not benefit anti-national elements or create further unrest.

“To ensure that the current situation is not exploited by forces working against the nation’s interests, that the country remains united, and that students do not get entangled in legal complications but instead focus on their education and careers, I have sent my resignation to the Prime Minister,” he said.

The resignation comes amid sustained demonstrations over the NEET examination issue, with protesters demanding accountability and reforms in the country’s examination system.
