A BSF officer died this afternoon reportedly after coming in contact with the high voltage wires on the roof of his residential quarter. The deceased was the father of two girls, whose body has been kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital by the City-2 police for post-mortem. After the incident, the family was in a state of shock and grief.
According to the information, Vinod Kumar, having the rank of ASI in BSF, was a resident of Nandgaon, district Bhiwani, Haryana, lived in a residential quarter near the BSF sector headquarter along with his wife and two daughters. Due to the rain for the last few days, he had gone to drain water from the roof this afternoon. It is said that while cleaning the roof with the wiper, he got electrocuted by the high voltage wires passing from above and fell down there.
When Vinod’s wife raised an alarm, BSF officials immediately got him admitted to a private hospital from where the doctors referred him to the Civil Hospital, Here, the doctors declared him dead. The City-2 police have the body of the deceased in the hospital mortuary and started recording the statements of the relatives of the deceased.
