FOUNDATION STONES LAID, WORK NOT STARTED EVEN AFTER 11 MONTHS

Development work in Daulatpura village under Abohar assembly constituency is limited to only claims and foundation stones. There has been no improvement till date in the poor condition of the main Phirni road of Daulatpura and SC Dharamshala. Abohar MLA Sandeep Jakhar accused the state government of completely treating the Abohar region like a ‘step mother’. The MLA said that development is now limited to laying foundation stones only.

Citing facts, Sandeep Jakhar said that AAP leaders had laid the foundation stone of Phirni road of Daulatpura with great fanfare on 16 October 2025. Whereas earlier on March 8, 2024, the foundation stone for the construction of SC Dharamshala was laid. But even after 11 months, construction work has not started on the ground till today. The situation is such that today both the foundation stones and the development of reality are facing each other, and the villagers are forced to walk on potholes and dusty roads. The public is now asking the government when will these stones of promises finally become the road to reality?

The MLA also raised serious questions on the quality of the development work being done. He said that on one hand the projects are not being started, on the other hand even though new roads have been built, the roads have fallen into disrepair before time due to heavy commission taking and use of substandard material. The administration and government are completely turning a blind eye.
