The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested three persons including one public servant at New Delhi while transacting a bribe amount of Rs. 15,00,000.
The CBI registered the instant case on 16.09.2026 against Inspector of MCD and others on the allegations that they are indulging in corrupt activities of obtaining bribe for allowing the installation/display of bill boards/hoardings/LED Displays even after expiry of the tender period and also allowing the installation/display of additional bill boards beyond the sanctioned numbers in lieu of substantial illegal gratification.
After registration of the FIR, the CBI laid a trap on 16.09.2026 and arrested Senior Secretariat Assistant, MCD and two private persons while transacting the bribe amount of Rs. 15,00,000, at New Delhi. During searches, substantial cash of Rs.25.25 Lakh has also been recovered.
Further searches at different locations are underway.The investigation of the case is in progress.
