AMAN SHARMA, SAMEER GRAB GOLD AT CHANDIGARH PRESS CLUB’S ANNUAL SWIMMING MEET

Aman Sharma won gold in the 25m freestyle event in the men’s up-to-50 years category, while Sameer Sharma bagged the top position in the men’s 50 years-plus category at the Chandigarh Press Club’s Annual Swimming Meet held on Sunday.

In the men’s up-to-50 years category, Chaman Lal finished second, while Sunil Kapoor secured third position.

In the men’s 50 years-plus category, Umesh Ghrera won silver, while Mansa Ram Rawat bagged bronze.

In the relay team event, the trio of Aman Sharma, Mansa Ram Rawat and Chaman Lal claimed the top honours in the up-to-50 years category. The team of Sameer Sharma, Umesh Ghrera and Ivninderpal Singh won gold in the 50 years-plus category.

More than 40 club members and their families participated in the swimming competition organised by the Chandigarh Press Club.

Kids’ Events

In the mixed category for children up to 7 years, Eaira won gold, followed by Yakshit in second place and Rizul in third. Paakhi Atwal and Armaan received consolation prizes.

In the mixed category for children aged 7 to 11 years, Navyanka finished first, Dhruv second and Swaranpari third. Rhythm Kapoor and Dhwani Atwal received consolation prizes.

In the mixed category for children aged 11 to 14 years, Swaranjali secured first position, while Jasraj Singh finished second. Advika and Punya Kapoor shared third position.
