Police at Sriganganagar have arrested two henchmen of gangster Vishal Pachar alias Bablu, along with two foreign pistols and two magazines. A Brezza model car has also been seized. A case was registered against both of them under the Arms Act. The police have got 5 days’ remand for investigation.
Bablu is a resident of Purani Abadi in Sriganganagar who has been hiding somewhere abroad for a long time and is operating his gang from there.
Investigation reportedly indicated that the seized illegal foreign pistols were to be delivered by the accused to other operatives of the gang in Abohar and some crime was to be carried out there.
Sriganganagar Superintendent of Police Hari Shankar Yadav said that on the basis of an information, the team of Sub Inspector Dariya Singh arrested Mohit resident of Chak 54-LNP Ghamurwali and Vishwadeep Singh of Chak 10 Tejewala, Srikaranpur late last night. Upon search, two foreign Zigana pistols and two magazines were recovered from their possession. A case has been registered against them under the Arms Act.
Police said that Mohit runs a hotel on contract rent near the central bus stand and Vishwadeep Singh works there. Earlier, a case was registered against Mohit for illegal possession of drugs. Both of them were reportedly connected with gangster Vishal through Telegram app. Vishal had allegedly sent illegal weapons through his other henchmen a few days ago. Investigation so far has revealed that these weapons were to be delivered to someone in Abohar.
