Unfortunate incident involving the death of a candidate during the Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PEMT) being conducted at DPA Wazirabad, Delhi.
One candidate, Sh. Saurav Kumar S/o Lachhi Singh R/o Village Neta Nagar, Salamatpur, Post Anoopshahar, aged 23 yrs, appeared for the PEMT for Delhi Police Recruitment. At around 9:09 AM, while participating in the race event, he successfully completed the first three rounds. However, after the third round, he experienced physical discomfort and went to the side of the track, where other candidates were already sitting. He then became unconscious.
The ground staff at the venue noticed him and immediately called the ambulance and doctors. The ambulance, which was already stationed at the ground, reached the spot promptly. He was administered CPCR by the paramedics and immediately rushed to the nearest hospital, where he was declared brought dead. His relatives have been informed and further inquiry has been handed over to the local police.
