DEMANDS OCCUPANTS MUST BE CHARGED WITH PENAL RENT LIKE IN EARLIER CASES, TAKES STRONG EXCEPTION TO ABUSIVE LANGUAGE BY RAJASTHAN AAP LEADER, REGRETS MANN’S ABJECT SURRENDER BEFORE DELHI BOSSES

Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today asked the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to get all the ministerial houses vacated from the illegal occupants. He also demanded that the government must charge penal rent from the occupants like in previous cases.
Warring also took strong exception to one of the Aam Aadmi Party leaders, Ms Gayatri Bishnoi using foul and abusive language saying it is unacceptable and Punjabis will neither forget nor forgive such abuse.
The PCC president held the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann responsible for all this, regretting that he had completely surrendered before his Delhi bosses and was being the mute spectator to what was happening in Punjab. “Who has allowed and authorized such people to occupy the ministerial houses, while the ministers in whose names these houses have been allotted are forced to stay outside?” he asked.
He noted that this has been happening from day one when the then AAP MP Raghav Chadha, who has since joined the BJP, was allotted House No 50 in Chandigarh. He also referred to hundreds of Punjab Police cops and vehicles being deputed to Udaipur during Chadha’s wedding there. “It was the money of the people of Punjab which was being squandered away in Udaipur”, he remarked.
He said, not only had Chadha been allotted a palatial house in Chandigarh, an entire floor in Punjab Bhawan in New Delhi had been exclusively allotted to him. He said ministerial suits were allotted to the personal assistants of the AAP leaders. Rest of the rooms in both blocks of the Punjab Bhawan were allotted to AAP leaders and workers from different states when they came for campaigning in Delhi.
The PCC president said that under what rules have Gayatri Bishnoi and her parents been allotted a ministerial house in Chandigarh. He said, even if this has been allotted for the treatment of her father, how many people from Punjab who come for treatment to Chandigarh are allotted such houses.
Directing his question straight at Chief Minister Mann, Warring asked him, “did the people of Punjab elect you for this that Punjab’s ministers are not allowed to stay in their allotted houses and outsiders are allowed to occupy these”.
He listed several houses with their number which are under illegal occupation. These include House No: 902 to Deepak Chauhan, 925 to Kamal Bansal, 919 to Anurag Kundu, 926 to Satyander Jain (now vacated), 927 to Adil Khan, 928 to Shanty Singh, 931 to Jarnail Singh, 963 to Manish Sisodia, 961 to Ms Gayatri and Her parents, 964 to Manish Sisodia’s team and 965 as AAP’s office. Not only are they not authorized to occupy these houses, all of them are from outside Punjab, he pointed out.
Not only these houses, he said, the Kapurthala House and Nabha House in New Delhi are also misused and so are the Circuit Houses. “This is not misuse, but complete abuse and this has never happened before in Punjab”, he remarked.
