On the occasion of World Metastatic Day, a program was organized at Vishwakarma Labour Complex, Sriganganagar.

In the event, organized under the joint aegis of Dr. S.S. Tantia Memorial Cancer Care Society and the Centre of Excellence for Labour Welfare, workers were informed about the symptoms of cancer and told that if any cancer spreads to other parts of the body, the patient’s chances of survival become very low. The need is to detect cancer at an early stage and treat it.

Nishant Garg, Co-ordinator of the Cancer Care Society, while speaking about metastatic cancer, said that it can be called the fourth stage of cancer. During this time, the patient needs emotional support. Field Executive Om Prakash spoke about the symptoms of cancer, timely testing, and treatment. In the program, awareness pamphlets were distributed and a message was given to remain vigilant about cancer.
