UT ADMINISTRATOR KATARIA VISITS CHANDIGARH TRANSPORT AREA

Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh visited the Chandigarh Transport Area, Sector-26, Chandigarh on Sunday.

The Administrator UT also took a meeting with the representatives of Chandigarh Transport Association (CTA). During the meeting, the CTA representatives apprised the Administrator about various issues pertaining to the Transport area including high parking fees for large vehicles, need for renovation of road, and need for neat and clean stay, eatery and shed facility for the drivers.

The Hon’ble Governor inspected the infrastructure facilities of the Transport Area and directed the concerned officials to enhance these facilities in consultation with all stakeholders, aiming to optimize them to effectively meet their requirements and ensure efficient utilization.

Present during the occasdion were Sh. Vivek Pratap Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner UT, Sh. Amit Kumar, Commissioner MC Chandigarh, Sh. Sumeet Sihag, Joint Commissioner MC, Sh. Sanjay Arora, Chief Engineer, MC and other officials of Chandigarh Administration.
