Face2News/ Shimla

The process for publishing name changes and corrections in the Himachal Pradesh e-Gazette will become completely online from November 15, 2026, through the Single Window Clearance System.

A spokesperson for the Himachal Pradesh Department of Printing and Stationery said that the facility for publication of name changes and corrections, which was previously available through the offline mode, would now be accessible online through the Single Window Clearance System.

The spokesperson clarified that applications received through the offline mode after November 15, 2026, would not be entertained. Applicants will have to submit their applications through the online portal along with all the required documents and prescribed fees.

The fee deposited by applicants will be non-refundable under any circumstances. Therefore, applicants have been advised to ensure that all information provided in their applications is complete and accurate before submission.

The spokesperson further informed that Common Service Centres (CSCs) will charge ₹50 plus GST for providing this service, while the department’s prescribed publication fee will remain unchanged at ₹120.
