ANTI IMMIGRATION FRAUD UNIT PANCHKULA ARRESTED CHANDIGARH COUPLE DUPING PINJORE RESIDENT 11.5 LAKH ON PRETEXT OF SENDING CANADA

Anti Immigration Fraud Unit Panchkula reported to have arrested a couple of Chandigarh from Kaithal for duping Pinjore resident to the tune of Rs 11.5 lakh in pretext of sending Pinjore resident to Canada.

(SUBHEAD)In this regard, Sub Inspector in-charge of Anti Immigration Fraud Unit Panchkula Tajinder Pal Singh said that accused Namrata alias Ritu wife of  Ravi Sharma alias Vikrant Airy resident of House No. 3294/1 Sector 44 D Chandigarh and her husband Ravi Sharma alias Vikrant son of Bhishbhar Dutt were named in case FIR No. 108 dated 20.03.2025 , registered under Sections 406, 420, 120-B IPC and 24 Immigration Act at Police Station Pinjore in Panchkula Distt and absconding since then.

The case was registered on the complaint of Mohmmad Ahmjad s/o Shafiq Ahmjad r/o Amrawati enclave.  Panchkula in Pinjore Police Station.

Inspector in-charge Tajinder Pal Singh said that the police arrested the couple from Kaithal on Saturday and after presenting them before the area magistrate, obtained their three-day police remand for further interrogation.

He said that the investigation of this entire case has been handed over to Investigation Officer ASI Sanjeev Kumar.
