Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya on Friday invoked the spirit of nation-building, urging the youth to rise beyond mediocrity and inscribe their excellence upon global landscapes —be it in entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, or the noble pursuit of societal transformation.

Speaking at the annual convocation of DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh, Shri Dattatraya lauded the college as a crucible of academic rigor and holistic development, emphasizing the eternal values of integrity, perseverance, and service. Amidst cheers, applause, and heartfelt moments, a total of 944 degrees were conferred.

Principal Dr Mona Narang, Registrar Dr Ghanshyam Dev, and Deputy Registrar Dr Navneet K Pruthi, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

(SUBHEAD)Degrees were conferred upon meritorious students across the Faculties of Arts, Commerce, and Science, with Deans Dr Aarti Sharma, Dr Sarika Mehandru and Dr Neena Sharma bestowing the honours upon the graduates.

A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Annual Report by Principal Dr Mona Narang, chronicling the college’s milestones, academic innovations, and community contributions. Special mention was made of Olympic medallists Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh, proud alumni whose journeys illuminate the boundless potential of DAVians.

In her stirring address, Dr Narang urged graduates to become lifelong learners and resilient warriors in the battlefield of life. Registrar Dr Ghanshyam Dev reaffirmed the college’s unwavering commitment to nurturing leaders of tomorrow through innovation, vision, and value-based education.
