INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY: NARI SHAKTI SAMMAN CEREMONY HELD

International Women's Day was organized in collaboration with RGR Cell at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Indian Council of Agricultural Research Regional Center CIFET, Abohar. The aim was to promote women empowerment. More than 100 women participated and made it memorable by their inspirational appearance.

During the program, their achievements were appreciated by giving felicitation letters, awards and special gifts to women farmers, agricultural scientists and entrepreneurs. The participants shared their experiences and discussed new dimensions of empowerment.

(SUBHEAD)Dr. Arvind Kumar Ahlawat, Chief, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, highlighted the role of women farmers and their contribution in the field.

Everyone inspired women to become self-sufficient and adopt innovation in the field of agriculture and entrepreneurship. Children performed attractive dance and poetry recitation, which enthralled the audience. These cultural presentations put a new energy in the program.

Special training sessions and innovation-based programs were launched by the Agricultural Science Center, Regional Center CIFET to make women farmers self -reliant. Through these sessions, women were made aware of new opportunities in the fields of agriculture, food processing and entrepreneurship. The event took an important step towards empowering women power and inspired them to scale new heights.
