NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATED AT SOE MALLANWALA KHAS WITH A FOCUS ON INNOVATION AND LEADERSHIP

The School of Excellence (SOE) Mallanwala Khas marked National Science Day today with a vibrant celebration, emphasizing the theme “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for VIKSIT BHARAT.” The event was organized to honor the groundbreaking discovery of the Raman Effect by the eminent physicist Sir C.V. Raman, a discovery that earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. The day underscored the importance of fostering scientific awareness and innovation, especially among the youth, in shaping a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

The celebrations began with a welcome address by Principal Sanjeev Tandon , who emphasized the significance of science in today’s world and its role in shaping the future of India. He urged students to explore new scientific ideas, innovate, and develop skills that would contribute to the growth of the nation. He also highlighted the theme for National Science Day 2025, encouraging students to think beyond the classroom and aim for global leadership in science and technology.

(SUBHEAD)An exciting science quiz competition was held, engaging students from different classes. The quiz covered diverse scientific topics, including the life and work of Sir C.V. Raman, the basics of physics, chemistry, and environmental sciences. The winners were awarded certificates and trophies, recognizing their knowledge and enthusiasm for science.

The Punjab State Council for Science and Technology and the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, extended their support to the event, reinforcing the importance of such initiatives in promoting scientific awareness and research at the grassroots level.

The day concluded with the recognition of outstanding science students, who were awarded certificates of excellence for their exceptional contributions to science. These students exemplified the spirit of scientific curiosity and determination, embodying the future of Indian science and innovation.
