PUNJAB DECLARE HOLIDAY ON FEB. 26 , SCHOOL OFFICES TO REMAIN CLOSE IN CONNECTION Of MAHA SHIVRATRI

Another public holiday on the holy festival of Mahashivratri on  February 26,  has been declared by the Punjab government.

Government offices, government and private schools, colleges, educational institutions and other business units across the state will  remain closed on that day.

Let us tell you that the festival of Mahashivratri is being celebrated across the country on February 26 this time. On this day, people worship Lord Shiva and keep fast for the whole day. On this day, special puja archana and programs are held at temples and other places. At the same time, keeping in mind the sentiments of Hindu people living in Punjab, the state government has announced a holiday on February 26 (Wednesday) in educational and commercial units. Orders have already been given to the administrative officers in all the concerned districts of Punjab.
